DMK Associates, Inc. was established in 1982 under the name of Englewood Surveyors, Inc. Through the years, DMK merged with another engineering firm that specialized in municipal services. After the merger, DMK Associates, Inc. was formed to become a full-service engineering and land surveying firm.

In 2023, the last of DMK’s founders retired, and a few of DMK’s employees purchased the assets and legacy of the company. The name DMK Associates, Inc. retains its rich heritage of being the longest continually owned and operated engineering firm based in Venice and Englewood, Florida.
